The Power Hip-Hop project is a partnership between the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO), Pulse Youth Health Centre, Hobart City Council, Ruffcut Records and The Education Department, working together to produce high quality music and music experiences for young Tasmanians from diverse cultural backgrounds.

In December 2009 Power Hip Hop will come alive in a full scale performance at the Peacock Theatre, Salamanca Arts Centre, featuring 8 young rappers and a 12 piece ensemble from the TSO. There will also be the opportunity for other rappers in our community to perform, with an open mic session being held after the first performance in the Salamanca Arts Centre courtyard.
